Useful Things To Know
Before we work together, here’s some important things you should know:
All sessions must be paid for by bank transfer, 48 hours in advance.
If you need to cancel or postpone, please tell me at least 48 hours in advance. I will try to reschedule our session if I can.
Online sessions need to be confidential, so we can’t meet if someone else is in the room, if you are in a public space, or at work.
Each session is 60 minutes (90 minutes by agreement). Demand is high, particularly for evening slots, but if you book ahead I can usually offer a regular time slot.
I try to accommodate shift workers where possible, with flexible slots that work round your shifts, if I have availability.
Regular attendance is vital, to get the most out of therapy. If you frequently cancel sessions or take long breaks, it can stop being therapeutic, and I might need to consider ending our work together.
I provide a detailed contract when we start working together, but contact me if you have any questions in advance.
It’s completely normal to occasionally feel worse as we start to work through the more challenging experiences in therapy. Hang in there—things will get better as we continue together!
When you decide to stop coming to therapy, it can be really helpful to have an ending session. Reviewing your progress can be really positive and help you focus on the future.
